Thinking of Applying

You can find more guidance on navigating the undergraduate application process here. If you have questions about the process, you can contact our Undergraduate Admissions Tutor, Dr Paul Taylor, or email our undergraduate admissions team at mediaug@leeds.ac.uk.

If you’d like more specific detail about programmes and modules, please visit our course pages or contact the programme leaders for each of our undergraduate degrees.

Don’t forget you can also come and visit us. University Open Days usually take place in Summer and Autumn. You can register to attend one of these via the University web page. If you’ve missed the Open Days, don’t worry, just contact our Undergraduate Admissions team at mediaug@leeds.ac.uk, and they will put you in touch with the admissions tutor for your preferred course.

You can find general information about University of Leeds undergraduate fees and finance here. Our undergraduate fees align with University-wide fees for undergraduate courses, although there may be some variability.  For specific queries, please contact the fees department for the Faculty of Performance, Visual Arts and Communications on 0113 343 5965.

We welcome applications from well-qualified candidates from both the UK and the rest of the world (read more about studying as an international student here). Admission to all five of our undergraduate programmes is very competitive, however. Standards are high and we always receive considerably more applications than we have places available. The School welcomes applicants through the Access to Leeds scheme – an alternative admissions scheme which guarantees special consideration for applicants whose personal circumstances have affected their ability to demonstrate talent and potential through grades alone.

Wherever you are in the world, and whatever your type of qualification, you should apply formally to us through UCAS, the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service. UCAS allows you to apply to up to five UK Universities and colleges though one centrally administered scheme. You can find out more through the UCAS website.

The School of Media & Communication Undergraduate Admissions Policy outlines the School of Media and Communication Admissions Policy for 2018 entry.
